TFG London Investigates Hack at Phase Eight, Hobbs and Whistles
A cyberattack on TFG London may have exposed customer data at three UK fashion brands, striking days after a similar breach hit Asos.
TFG London, the South Africa-listed parent company of Phase Eight, Hobbs and Whistles, and Whistles, is investigating a cyberattack that may have compromised personal data belonging to customers of those three UK retail chains. The company said it detected the cybersecurity incident on Sunday, triggering an immediate probe into the scope and impact of the breach.
The attack targeted the websites and IT systems supporting the three brands. TFG London noted that two of its other UK labels, Inside Story and White Stuff, were not affected by the incident, suggesting the intrusion was contained to a specific portion of its digital infrastructure.

TFG London has not yet disclosed how many customers may be affected, what categories of personal data were potentially exposed, or whether law enforcement or data protection regulators have been notified. Under UK data protection law, companies are generally required to report qualifying breaches to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of them.
